how is even a close comparison. does anyone notice they are using ddr2 1066 with the phenom and ddr3 1600 with the Core2 Quad..... cmon how are u gonna test 2 things on completely differant playing fields.
If you think 200x13= 2,8Ghz, ur wrong, aswell as 200x14 is not 3,0. This whole review is BS, I own Windsor 5600+ X2, and its never ever slower than C2D E6320. I have compared it with Intel, and its somewhere between E6400 and E6600. Idk what they always do wrong, but iv got it stable on 3,33Ghz on ASUS M2R32-MVP.
if you look at supreme commander you see the phenoms up there with the best Intels. And SC is far greater strain on the CPU compared to COD.

COD doesn't recognise the extra cores on the AMD processors which is clear by the big jump for Intel Duel cores to quads, but no similar jump in Amd duel to quads.

Morel of the story relic cant program for AMD processors making this bench mark biased.
"Interestingly pairing the Radeon HD 4870 X2 with an AMD Phenom X4 processor produced very poor results when testing with Company of Heroes. Incredibly the Phenom X4 9950 overclocked to 3.00GHz was unable to match the performance of the Core 2 Duo E6320 when under clocked to just 1.60GHz, which we found hard to believe. However after countless re-testing of these processors using various drivers and motherboards, these were the best results that we came up with. The Phenom X4 9950 was 40% faster than the Phenom X4 9150e, rendering 19fps more at 1920x1200. "

Good that you discovered. Paul Taylor has been taking constant jabs at DAAMIT since god knows when. Looks like after the 4870X2 somebody got really sour inside.

You know what? Paul, we can see through all that BS so cut it.
@ dan

The link is to the Devil May Cry results which as mentioned are limited by GPU.

Look at the CPU limited results on the Company of Heroes page...
How you think a Phenon 9950 in 2nd place is rubbish my brother has 1 and apart from the fact VISTA is on it and hes using a 8400GS Turbo Cache card its ok. On XP Pro it would be the bomb but how you rate it as it's suck is beyound me obviously a serious INTEL fan.

The Devil May Cry
He's Not The Devil
The Riff Raff He Is

Ok. Who Wants To Be A Hero?
for GAMERS, that is.

Core 2 Quad Q9650 = 183 points = $825 median
Phenom X4 9950 = 72 points = $195 median

Nehalem sinks AMD even deeper.
I wouldnt buy a Phenom to play games with. But thats just me. Theyre great for other things, you know?
A 1000usd cpu vs a 200usd CPU.

AMD looked good in this.

Following your link, the second placed bench was a Phenom X4. With a lower clock than the Intel quad below it. How is this 'sucking' ?
