Compared to a PC, the connection speed of a mobile phone is a snail stuck in glue. Add to that the tiny screen size (compared to a 19" LCD) and not only do we get more obtrusive ads, but we also probably get the game obscured by the ad.
I'd be interested to know the amount of pixels devoted to ad space. I'll bet that it is largely 30% of the screen (there has to be something to read).
Can you imagine an ad on a PC screen that takes up 30% of the pixels ?

Games for phones that 'may connect to download new ads' sound a bit tricky to me, even if they themselves don't charge for that obviously.
