Cheap Shot

We all know that taking random pot-shots at America is pretty easy for any so-called "journalist." It's the generic 'look at me standing up against oppression in a super-power!' that has no real backing but sounds impressive to.... whoever is saying it I guess. Good job on pretending to be all concerned for human rights and whatever. I know exactly how down-trodden I am, an educated American woman that's allowed to wear what she wants, vote... hell, do pretty much any damn thing I please. Tell us again how terrible the US is. We'll believe you.
Pathetic.

Really,

Come now, the mighty US of A, beacon of Justice and Freedom to the less favored of this world, hardly needs to stoop to Internet Censorship.

All they do is send in the black helicopters and it's off for a quick, one-way flight to that conveniently blockaded prison camp without lawyers. The whole thing is wrapped up with a quiet call to ICANN to have the corresponding domain name blocked.

Just goes to show how retarded Syria and China really are. Everything is peachy when all the terrists/protesters are behind bars where they belong !

Agreed

Agreed on that one. Censorship, China, Syria, US don't belong in the same article. Enough anti- US comments. Your view is plain but doesn't belong in the article.

AT adds: As is yours.

Really?

You know, it's pretty common fare to have to wade through a good bit of anti-American sentiment on European sites I visit on a regular basis, but really, internet censorship? There are certainly things our government gets wrong on a regular basis; internet censorship is not one of them, especially when mentioned in the same breath as Syria and China.

INQ Poll

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
