The American obsession with communism reminds me of Team America, it sums up the stereotypical American quite well... Notice I said stereotypical.

As a concept Communism works, anyone who did a GCSE in history or English should know this, it's when you add humans into the mix that things go wrong. It certainly isn't as flawed as what currently passes off as Democracy over here in the UK and in the US, and the related free market economy.

This transaction has been in the planning process for over a year. This is not news and does make good financial sense. The 130nm equipment is dated given AMD's product portfolio. It's logical for them to sell it and is a common practice in the semiconductor industry. By the way, this will give AMD an $800,000,000 cash infusion.

Hearing this you suddenly wonder why there aren't more chips made in russia, they are poor, so cheap labour, but they have enough scientific education to do it right.
