20 years ago at a Ferranti factory in Edinburgh we came in one morning to find all the power off.

We were told that thieves had sawed off the massive copper earth rods for the entire factory. Seemingly these were in a wee shed at the far end of the car park and they had no trouble breaking in and nicking the thick rods.

Must of got a packet for them. 

Good job none of the 200 night-shift workers got electrocuted...

Don't laugh...

...they may only be taking the metal now, but mark my words - they'll be back for our grunge and our third-wave ska soon.
