Thank you

First suggestion worked a treat, although not until the second try when Unlocker was waiting to delete. I wasted hours with some w*nker from M$ support and his lame suggestions. Now I'll just bounce his next email with a 'suggestion' right back to him.

Right, so open the c:\windows\system32 folder and find the WgaTray.exe file.Hit delete and a box will ask if you want to send it to the recycle bin.Don't hit "Yes" yet.Have your tskmngr close by,kill the WgaTray process and then quickly hit "yes" to send the system32 file to the recycle bin. Then follow the rest of the steps in the article.BTW, much obliged Gov'na.

Easy Deletion

1. Open a command prompt window. (Start>Run>"cmd")

2. Type "cd C:\WINDOWS\system32" <Enter>

3. Type "del WgaTray.exe" (DO NOT HIT ENTER YET!)

4. Bring up task manager and position it over the command prompt window.

5. Kill the process, quickly click over the command prompt window, and hit Enter.

Problem solved.

Easier removal (Windows XP)

1.Note down the PID off wgatray.exe from taskmanager( eg:1572)
2.open command prompt
3.cmd>taskkill /PID 1572
4.No need to hurry up. delete wgatray.exe from system32 and system32/dllcache. delete wgatray.dll from dllcache.
5. restart
6. delete wga*.dll from system32
7. ENJOY ! ! !
