It's true though, maybe they'll use less energy, but they'll still end up in a dump somewhere when end-user is forced to upgrade.

The Inquirer speaks the truth.
Why is it we are told the chips are smaller but they still come in the same package? And the power consumption still requires these monster heat sinks - just as you said. Sleek new designs - right....
