The Eeepc became pupular because it was a relatively cheapo laptop with solid state drive. Now the brand name is established they're just giving you normal laptops with normal laptop prices. In fact from the first model to the current ones they're underpowered for the price so they've always been a rip off. They're utter rubEeesh!
Form what I understand, Vista is supposed to have a better tablet support as it was built from the start rather than tacked on with SP1.
Could it work as a cheap Cintiq-like drawing pad?

Just a heads up Sylvie, Vista is better for touch than XP which will feel clunky and awkward in comparison.

Ah, now this looks like the perfect kitchen pc! I've been wanting one for ages... Although any ideas on pricing yet?
