LOL

This is a lot like Texas Holdem Poker.

Jerry raises, MS folds, Google calls, Jerry re-raises, Google folds, Jerry just scared all potential customers away! Good Job...

Crawling back now, eh Jerry ?

Really, what a contrast with the holier-than-thou attitude of "not good enough" you used to have. Seems like you're close to going down on your knees now.
And why should Ballmer move a finger in your favor now ?
Monkey Boy may be immensely irritating - especially for office furniture - but he is no idiot. He can perfectly well wait for you to finally drown and pick up the pieces for pocket change.
Because drown you will, moron.
And by the way, you should clean your nose. All that brown is starting to show.

Sure Thing

Look guys i know i didnt see this financial disaster coming but neither did Microsoft or Google. In fact all of us projected growth not a savage deflationary spiral. So in hindsight its easy to talk but when you are at the coal face its quite a bit harder. If i had of done the deal then the economy had raced faster , then i would have looked like a schmuck, so how do you guys see the future.

Its easy to point fingers after the event but its before the event that you should put yourselves in and see then if i have done the wrong thing. Its not that easy to just dismiss my efforts.

As for the poison pill , well thats just business, all execs receive a golden parachute, its just the nature of the beast. Its not the money, god knows ive got enough of that, its just to see the steps that the other company will dance to. Its a bit like prostitution, you see the money and go for it no matter what you have to do. So to sum up we are all prostitutes regardless of what you might think.

See you guys at the ball for the rich, oh wait a second you guys live with your mothers in the basement. Never mind see you if you ever get rich which is not really on the cards is it now?? LOL..

Yang should be fired.

Jerry Yang is a complete idiot.

Microsoft offered them an incredible premium for a company that has had one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel. He then added an insane poison pill for himself and Yahoo employees that NO company would ever accept. For Yang to now say that he was always in favor of a sale is comtemptible.

Jerry Yang should be fired.

To claim he had a "strategy" and that shareholders need to be patient because Yahoo, was "undervalued" when in fact their strategy was to try and take some sort of pay off from Google is ludicrous. It only devalues Yahoo's search.

Jerry Yang should be fired.

Oh yeah, Yahoo is now laying off folks in droves.

Jerry Yang should be fired.

Now, for Jerry to publicly state that the best thing is for Microsoft to buy Yahoo, he has publicly thrown in the towel. That should be the last straw. The "board" should recognize that Yang is done. He has failed and his arrogance and incompetence cost Yahoo shareholders BILLIONS of dollars.

BILLIONS of dollars.

Jerry Yang should be fired.

I know a lot of folks at Yahoo and their morale is crushed. I can't imagine what they think today reading what their "chief Yahoo" is saying.

Jerry Yang should be fired.

When will they learn?

When will Microsoft, Yahoo, and all these other titans learn?

Buying to increase market share is, in the long run, pointless. Internet users are exceptionally fickle: if you provide a service that works better than your competitor's, you'll succeed. Microsoft hasn't been able to touch google because their search capabilities are poor, crowded, and the list goes on.

Yahoo wants to be bought because it realizes it's in a pickle and being bought is the best thing to do from a Yahoo-shareholder standpoint.

Also worth mentioning that virtually everything Steve B(umblingidiot)almer has done has flopped to some degree. Vista comes to mind.

HAHA

About right for that lying sack of crap Jerry Yang to start sucking up to M$ now, since he knows he fvcked up earlier when he snubbed them. Bastard is trying to save his job. If he were Japanese, he could commit seppuku and cut his guts out for the loss of face this involves. :D

yeah, right

"The US Justice Department had vowed to block the alliance since it would hand the pair something like 90 per cent of internet search advertising."

I don't understand how it is different from MS having 90 per cent and more of the desktop market.

Where were they, then the likes of BeOS and Netscape were going under?

What a joke!

This is the same guy who said MS' previous offer of ~33.share (a ~50% premium) was undervalued.

He clearly sees the writing on the board with Icahn on the board and having 3 seats. If Icahn launches a proxy contest (I'm assuming the incompetent board continues to not take action and remove him) Yang in all likelihood would be removed rather easily at this point by the shareholders. He probably wants to unload his shares at a higher price if he can get a MS offer as he knows his career light at Yahoo is starting to blink rather quickly.

To put things in perspective... Yang actually had a response to any potential offer written several months BEFORE MS even made an offer. He also got a severance package increase of ~2.1Bil (I think that's the #)) put in in advance of the offer as a poison pill. This would have paid many folks 1-2 years salary if they left following an acquisition. For him to say he wanted to deal all along is an absolute joke.

As much as I dislike MS, I hope they totally lowball Yahoo with an offer - get Yang removed as a result, and then increase the offer to a fair # once Yang is gone. If I'm Ballmer, I'm sticking it to Yang and then make it VERY PUBLIC that if Yang were not there they would be wiling to come back to the table.

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
