Microsoft's Online Future!!!

What does these desperate microsoft moves tell us of the comapny's gloomy online future? It seems MSFT has hinge its entire online future on this deal and as such is resorting to desperate measures to buy yahoo at all cost!Is there no worthwhile alternative for MSFT besides this acquisition path?Why Microsoft Should Forego the Acquisitions Route(http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=625&doc_id=158193&F_src=flftwo)

Perhaps it is time for the company with the world's biggest ego - controlled by the man with the world's biggest ego - to find out that the world does not revolve around Microsoft. Jerry Yang can be Microsoft's badly-needed Copernicus.

Open source-based companies like Yahoo do not need Microsoft or their underhanded, unscrupulous, and outmoded ways of doing business.
