Another note : I forgot to add - mac changed its bootcode to work on Intel-based hw architectures, not the other way around. All the new Macs are pcs with Mac sw wrappers on a Unix core.

Meaning?
Sure, here's the explanation.

It means that in time, Apple will drop all its EXPENSIVE hw development and leave that to Intel, so it can better concentrate r&d on sw.

Never say never w/o reading whole passage

Wow. Its funny how some mac enthusiasts always play themselves out as stereotypical idiots w/ blinders. Bootcamp is an emulation (sw based vm) of a firmware bios that the author hinted about in his last description of possible ways to port XP to Macs. You've played yourself like I said.

BTW, I support Macs, so I remember when this was in ALL THE PC MAGS that I read to stay up on current developments.

Quoted from author - "Last but not least is the tried and true method of VMs. Most security conscious companies haven't quite figured out yet that anything they need to do, anything they need to check, can be emulated. This is how the original release of OSX was spread, it was a VMWare image. With Xen and VMWare both being free, it stands to reason this methodology will be the first beachhead of the hardware hacker. It is *HINT* massively *HINT* easier and faster to muck around with the boot code and firmware of an emulated system, and just reload the image when things go pear-shaped than it is to send a machine in for warranty, more ethical too."

Never say never

Since this article was published apple has actually created a utility called bootcamp, google it. You can run windows xp or vista natively on a partition with your osx, hell there is even better support to get x64 vista to work properly on a mac then there is for PCs. I have x64 vista working on my macbook, and even better you can solely just run windows if you like you dont even have to keep osx on the mac. get a life d!cK He@d.

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
