I doubt she's that stupid. She was probably stealing money for a long time and when she got caught, she probably thought stupidity would set her free. They does mention she had "good" intentions of repaying the $$ like that's not really theft just borrowing it.

Anytime you see an e-mail from an African country, believe it to be a scam right away. The largest money scam comes from Africa. And it always reads like this. Send us a few grand for your millions.
