FYI, as of today (April 9), most Indonesian ISPs have unblocked access to Youtube, Myspace, Rapidshare, etc. (thx God!)
they did it because they received many complaints from their customers.

It isn't the fault of the religion, but the fault of the people who are taking it too far. The government shouldn't tear down the freedom to watch youtube just because of a film. We can't expect everyone to think positively of Islam. There are always going to be people out there that will have their own opinions and thoughts. Remember the Spanish Inquisition and the Holocaust? Those weren't because of the religion, but of the people who push too hard. 
I think that it is also the fault of the filmaker because no religion should be discriminated in any way. Just because there are bad people, doesn't mean there are bad religions. I am Islam and I have always been taught to be tolerant of other people and their beliefs. I mean, is that seriously so hard?

Hi, from Indonesia! Okay, seriously, this country is a disgrace! These people need better things to do. Millions of people are living of the street and I think that's a way bigger issue to jump up about. What is wrong with you people! Blocking YouTube and MySpace? If you truly believe in your religion, you shouldn't let a few videos feeding blasphemy disturb you! And I'm guessing most of us won't even know such video exists if they didn't make such a big deal about it. It's times like these that makes me feel disgraced to be an Indonesian. I hope to be able to do something about it in the future. BTW, those other Indonesians who made comments should learn a bit of grammar. Show our country some class, will you people?

I think if I were the porn webmaster I will change as many domain as posible. Event if I can't do that, I still able use blogger, friendster, and other good site. So what do the goverment do? Blocking all this good site? Fool. The control is from people themself. 

Another mimic the uninportant thing. Why Indonesia don't try to shoot every corruptor head? That's important to make this country prosper. Why Indonesia also not try to learn why many small nations with no resource can be prosper nation? I think it is the first priority that Indonesia must learn not the fool think like blocking site.

youtube was already blocked through IIX by APJII (Indonesia Internet Service Providers Association)
but cause all isp have another routing (redundant) so users are still can access youtube.
but the problem on 5 april was because an unknown ISP try to test to block youtube through Open IXP but this was create a problem to all isp so it cannot access youtube at all.

an ISP called XL already blocked youtube and other sites like
My Space, MetaCafe, Rapidshare

other ISP called Indosat still not yet blocked youtube due the not receive the letter from the government

many Indonesian board/forum users has already disappointed with this action and willing to make a demo

It's not even a week, yet the new Internet Ban law is already being implemented. It takes forever for the goverment Faggots to deal with corruption, but it just takes couple of days before blocking web sites, porns.

Youtube is the only honest website worth looking at these days. Maybe this country needs to pay less attention to the media and whatever is being posted in youtube, and pay more attention to those who needs food. The danish drawre is actually thinking about suing the dutch film-maker for copyright-infringement, as he didn't give permission to use the drawing in the film. Also, that was in no way the purpose of the drawing in the first place.
