Oh come on Inq. Just because you get freebies, shouldn't mean you let the review details lapse.

Let's have the transfer speed of a 10MB file over a USB 2 pipe.

As IT admin I wouldn't use anything other than a SanDisk Cruzer 4GB stick. It looks smart and goes like a bomb.
:-)
KingMax's Super Sticks have been on the Canadian market for at least 9 months, albeit the 4Gb is a recent addition.

(no, I do not work for CC or Kingmax)

Crucial's is smaller and cheaper

12.4 mm (w) by 34.3 mm (l) by 2.2mm (t); Weight: 1.62 g

The overdrive version is fast
Write speed up to 13MB/s (80X)
Read speed up to 25MB/s (160X)

With Vista's ReadyBoost (assuming they get all Sleep and Hibernate bugs worked out), there will be a market for 4GB USB sticks that will fit FLUSH into a laptop's USB port and remain there more-or-less forever.

Obviously there might have to be the tiniest possible handle or catch so that they could be hauled out at some point, but it would be nice to 'ReadyBoost' (verb) my laptop permanently without having anything hanging out.

I hereby place this concept into the public domain worldwide.

I think the cap question is answered in the image. Looks like it's already lost.
^ You forgot the most important question about any USB stick. :)
3.4 seconds for 10MB.
Hope this helps.

...what's the transfer speed? The web site doesn't even admit of the existence of the B1 series, so no help there.
why not try the pqi i810?

Maybe not 4GB (it is 2GB) but it is smaller! almost as small as the usb port
