In all honesty the hacked wii is a good thing. If i were to build a console, which from a business point of view i would like to do, i would make it hackable. Firstly the liberalisation of writing programs (games) can produce good software for the platform. Which will shift you more units ok hardware will cost more as it is not subsidised by licensing games however people are not stuid, reverse engineers are godly creatures in my opinion and they cater to what i would call a free market. Nintendo are currently limiting themselves and their partners, as are all console manufactures by restricting the software that will run on their platform. Proof of this well come on MICROSOFT!
