What the commenters above seem to fail to understand is that nicotine is one of the most addictive substances known to man. At the moment you can either get your nicotine from tobacco or NRT (patches etc). This is an alternative for the people who cannot quit (and that's around 50% of all smokers) - it's not harmless, it's harm reduction.
@zu (I should have posted this earlyer)

Accually nicotine isn't that harmfull if you compare it to all the other tens of chemicals you inhale while smoking.

You have somewhere around a 1000 times less chance on cancer just inhaling nicotine without all the other stuff.

But......

Nicotine can make your bloodvessels contract or thinner, don't know the proper word. It can also cause an irregular heart rithem.

Cause heartattacks, lose bodyparts (no kidding, amputation)

So look at this as a gigantic step forward to a healthier way of satisfying that addiction, altho we still got quite a road to follow.
In the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France they have this E-cigarette brand, everybody's so excited about called JANTY. Does anyone know if it's available in UK?
Well smoking pot and crack can't be good for you, don't we want to save these poor people too! LOL

Oh yea, I forgot Nicotine not regulated, just taxed..... got it! :)
What a relief.
It warms my (weak)heart to know these "fake fags" will still help me pull the birds(just like in the picture).
Now I'll be able to maintain my bollie drinking, model dating, jetset lifestyle when I quit smoking the real ones.
Phew!
They've had these in NL for a while now, I own one and I still use it alot, especially in situaties where it's irritating to smoke a real one.

But the goverment here isn't that happy about it offcource, losing money, so they're very happy to be over critical and accually ban it.

They most favorite reason for being againt is, is the possibility of inhaling much more nicotine that you "normally" would.

Altho it's legal to use, alot of companies have made an extra rule forbidding the use in they're buildings.

I could talk about this for quite a bit accually, so author, mail me if wanna know anything else.
And you wouldnt look like a King Size prat if you pulled one out in the pub . Course you wouldnt .

Make it smaller so it looks like a cig and then maybe .
Not many people know this, but for people who suffer from hearing voices, cigarettes can help tremendously in relieving the symptoms. Specifically, it's the nicotine that relieves the symptoms.

I'm going to follow the link right now, to see if they're available in the United States.
I ordered my electronic cigarette at http://www.rutoo.co.uk. They sell a very small type of this e-cigarette and it's really cheap and fast

So it's a vaporiser then, like cannabis fans have been using for 40+ years to remove the dangers of actually smoking burning material.

I smoke. If this bothers anyone, I suggest looking around the world in which we live and shutting your f*cking mouths...
The article sounds like the nicotine itself was something healthy. What a BS.
