The poor kids, he didn't think what it would do to them. And for her to start looking for other men so soon, she probably was a bit messed up too.

How come these "couples" don't put their kids first?
She shouldn't have been whoring around like that.. It didn't deserve a stabbing.. but a nice beating would have been fitting.. hahaha
What... she never thought messing with other peoples lives and emotions would be a big deal? Leave before you whore around.. Lesson learned a little too late!
"began stabbing her with a kitchen knife and hacking at her with a meat cleaver as she slept."
I dont know about you but I would normaly wake up if someone was killing me,.
"I loved Emma"

Yeah, riiiiiight. Hopefully he'll have enough time to think about just how much he loved her.

As for the puns and the tone of the article, they may not be "appropriate" but who cares? I doubt Emma's family will be reading this, so it doesn't matter. This tone is the very reason I enjoy Sylvie's articles so much, so please keep it.

And about Sylvie being Charlie in drag... well, first of all, Charlie is really not that pretty :p Besides, their styles are completely different. And did you see any NVIDIA bashing here? :D
Should have been like this...

Man jailed for life for hacking wife to death over facebook relationship status
Wayne is... facing life imprisonment

"Talk about twisting the knife."

"In our humble opinion, he could have had another stab at making the relationship work."

LOLLOL!! This is why I read the Inq!
God, your Brits really don't have any news do you? Except, of course, all the murders. Why would you put this "news" in an article on the Inquirer is beyond me. A deranged man kills his wife, and you're passing it off as a human interest story vaguely related to tech. Pathetic!
I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks the tone of this article is all wrong given the image of a woman being stabbed to death in her sleep.

The puns are sharp and to the point though.
I think theres a time and a place for humour, and in an article like this it is not the right time.

i understand and appreciate the inquirers witty journalism, but find some of the jokey remarks a bit sick in this instance, maybe should of toned this one down.

so slap on the wrist for this one, but keep up the good work otherwise :)
I wonder how "In our humble opinion, he could have had another stab at making the relationship work." will make the family involved feel?? Perhaps you missed the following line in your source BBC report: "In a victim impact statement, Mrs Forrester's sister Liza Rothery said the murder had had a "devastating" impact on her and parents".

Bad taste. Sort of thing that gives journalists a bad name.
He later told police, "I loved Emma and felt totally devastated and humiliated about what she had done to me."

Because, clearly, it was all about him.

Sociopathic nut bag.

Is Sylvie actually Charlie in drag?
Why are the commenters keep on using terms like "journalist" and "journalism" when the Inquirer is not a journalistic site?
it was funny,.. don't be so sensible
