After the alienware buy out, Dell and Alienware kept roadmaps secret and continued to compete head on. However, dell has begun to assimilate functions of alienware into their operations. Most recently dell handed the XPS line to the Alienware product group for innovation and management. You will see two separate brands designed and managed by the same group of Product Managers.
