Hot Stuff

Given that the core junction breakdown temperature of a G80 core is quite high, It would be reasonable to expect that you could cook on it... probably even reliably although the pan vid is obviously a fake... theres enough metal in that pan to cool the gpu down to reasonable levels

nice!

we need to think about our envirment
those dual gpu cards get hotter then my cookpit. you know what im going to get one of those that will cut my gas bill down signifficantly when i just bake and fry it on a GX2 or radeon 3870x2 instead and while im cooking i can play games with full quality. i still have to think of some way to get my power bill down also. maybe i should get grandma on a bike with a dynamo yeah that will work. lol :)
nice project anyway i like those ideas feel free to add more.

Fake, but here's the real deal

AMD CPUs just do it better (and for real).

Come on, Big Bunny!

The pan was pre-heated and the video was cut badly. It's obviously a fake. You should know better.

Done with CPU before...

This idea has been done before on various CPUs (but not with a pan that seems to be preheated).

One example is:

I'd say it's possible to do this on a GPU setup, as they seem to be getting uncontrollably more power hungry. It just has to be done right.

Also, the verification code does not show up in Opera.

Pre Heated

It is amazing what you can do with a preheated pan. Isn't it?

Meh!

Meh!

I remember videos of eggs being fried on the old Athlon Thunderbird CPU's, and I wouldn't be surprised if you could cook a full English breakfast (or heat your house) on a Pentium 4 Extreme Edition.

Rubbish

Fake. The pan look pre-heated. No way in hell will a pan conduct heat that quickly.

eggs with no bacon?

Great job by this bloke, mulitasking his rig between fraggin and cooking!

I just want to know where the bacon is?

And I like my eggs scrambled thanks!

Oh, and don't forget to clean the egg out of the GPU fan! LOL
