Of course they wont implement SVG

For the same reason they work with Adobe try to keep JavaScript in the dark ages.
SVG + JavaScript = SilverLight or Flash but with no lockin.
And you can do it all in the browser, on any platform.
My God! Web computing might progress past 1996 and then they would be shown to be the ludites they are.

Ain't that cute ?

Here we have a qualified webologist, and when asked why IE is not up to snuff, the only thing he can say against it is that it doesn't handle graphics very well ?
IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY ?!?
Jesus H. Christ on a bicycle, Tim, couldn't you have mentioned any other of the 1001 points that make any version of IE a DISASTER when it comes to standards compliance ?
Like, I don't know, Active-X and its GAPING SECURITY HOLE ?
Handling graphics is really the least of IE's problems Tim. But you're obviously not the one who has to suffer with website coding on client site.

Meh, SVG

Honestly, I haven't seen many complaints besides this W3C guy's. It's one of those formats that have quietly become forgotten over time, and I'm surprised Microsoft really cares that much to think about supporting it. I'm sure they'd rather have people using Silverlight, and I'm sure Adobe also doesn't care much, as it'd rather have people using Flash. So SVG is another W3C that will go unheeded.

'The Vole'?

What is with articles like this referring to the "Vole"? What do rodents have to do with the topic? I did a web search and didn't have any luck beyond the known definition of the word.

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
