What the....?

What IBM and Unisys have done is show intel that they have a crap FSB-bolt-on solution that doesn't really do a good job in server configuration CPU scaling (but, we knew that!)
All we have left are the Intel-Fanboiz raving about a better Crysis FPS - Eat this!

One Way or Two?

BTW, Packer had Summer Home nearby in 1971 & My Control Data was at peak. Dad (capt von Drashek) was Grabbing all Medical Computing could get from kodak for decades already.(memristors commentos). On to today.

Cheap models might be one way cache crossbar(from L1 thru L2 to L3) with Huge Memory address added. While Expensive models might & I mean Might, be Two? Way cache Crossbar, Barcelona claimed to incorporate. Usually there is NO entry into L1 cache, except thru backdoor of I/O, So two way is quite complex or impossible. Dit,Dit,Dot,Dot,Dot.Two Ways on Same Crossbar? Really!!!
Another OLD gimmick. Yet each gimmick brings on advancement. As thats gimmicks purpose. CPU Chip photos seem to indicate such extreme complexity. I am pretty sure Barcelona will be moving up from cellar of Lower Cost as Mapping continues.

Do you think the move was justified?
