XP GAME ON.Ultie #2 & Closing In.

Bandwidth of Pci e 16x Slots makes Ultie_Tom weap. Just what Jan/Feb'6 FORUMS where all about, finally out, NF4 world, Mvp 55 arrives, way too small, way to late, yet now several chipsets latter, GORILLIA IS BEING BORN.

Ultie_Tom must concede to theinquirers first reviews in spring'7 & say its ULTIMATE performance is not better than XP? Well its still DANGEROUS.

If this isn't perfect ULTIE Bed, it must be heavenly close.

Looks a lot like a DFI board

Is it only me or does this board look like a DFI?

The I/O plate has a spon for an external heatsink, like the P35 DFI board. The heatsink near the RAM modules is exactly like the ones used on Ultra-D. Rounded corners, reset / power buttons.

Expansion slot location

Is it just me, or are the expansion slots located too far from the edge of the board...as in, once you mount the thing in the case and put in graphx/sound/etc cards, the ports on the cards will still be set at least an inch away from the openings in the back of the case? And look at the center hold down point, the hole is actually located UNDER the heatpipe between the NB and SB!

As you were...

I was waayyy off on the expansion slot comment...just looked funny to me.

But I am still concerned over the placement of the ehatpipe over the screw hole....
