Drama Theory: take liberties little by little, until rights are gone. Then..

Then "authority" has all the right to abuse/murder anyone it wants, and anyone who wants to do so, just has to become & push Authority, and they can "get off" on that.

The Nazis knew this ( see "Anne Franke Remembered", a woman who was subject to the Nazi occupation said that they removed their rights, little by little, and the locals said "oh, it's Just One More Thing...", like the "frog in the pot" with the slowly increasing temp .. of course, after they'd removed enough rights, then they declared that Jews *weren't permitted to leave*, and as she said "Then, we knew it was too late." ).

Drama Theory ( Game Theory + the dimension of Emotions ) has been used by governments to make peace ( difficult negotiations between long entrenched enemies .. make little steps, little steps, find progress has happened, celebrate, renew process ), and is now being used by the US, Britain, Australia, and China to eradicate rights entirely.

( weirdly, 3 of 4 of those complain about the 4th )

Expect to hear "Your papers Are Not In Order" .. followed by gunshots, in all these countries, in 5 years.

Unless the citizens
a) stick together against this pre-murders re-arranging,
b) stick to all rights against all abuse,
c) organize round-the-clock & across-the-land, just as the rights-removers do,
d) pay the price for keeping rights ours.

( it's a choice of paying smaller price now, or bigger price later )
I have the answer: They can use DRM on it! It's worked perfectly to protect music and software, there's no way it won't work for every detail of your personal life. What could possibly go wrong?

How about trying this first on members of the government? Say, for a year or three. Oh, and their families (since politicians may have become used to this kind of scrutiny.)

The data to be safely archived on a bunch of USB sticks stored in the janitor's closet.

Information Commissioner, Richard Thomas said creating big databases "means you can never eliminate the risk that the data will fall into the wrong hands."

yeh like the UK government, police, traffic wardens, debt collection agencies and their dogs, blah blah blah O_o
The saving of numbers dialled and addresses mailed and site URL's you goto is mandated by the EU you know, although it was pushed a lot when britain had chair of course.

Incidentally, since the search queries of google and such are part or the URL in the addressbar, as well as youtubes you link to, and search, it's also nice way to profile people too.

And all I can say is: have you people gone completely mad? Will you let go all your liberties, one by one, just like that?

The future = 1984 British Government, and 3rd world US.

Sounds about right, the way things are going at the moment.
