Raises the question whether an enterprising hacker could go ahead and unlock all the usable stream processors... It's unlikely that exactly 640 SPs work on all of the 4830s. There must be a considerable number of 4830s that have more than 640 but less than 800 usable SPs.

It's not like nVidia defect GPU.

Even if you update the BIOS of nVidia defected card it wont help.

As long as the problem is fixable with an update, I don't see the problem. It isn't like the gpu is failing (do you hear me NVIDIA?)
