I have to agree with the first post, Although I wont go to the extreme of not going to this site anymore.
People like you (The Author) dont take the time to get to know something new. Vista is fine as long as you have great hardware and take the time to fix the settings to how you like them.
I remeber the bs about how people complained that vista asks you way to many times "Are you sure you want to run/do this?", Yes, thats all very good, but their little minds could not understand that you could turn it off you so pleased.
People didnt wont to switch to XP when it first came out, and wanted to stay with 98. And I know this for a fact because IBM didnt want to switch over for awhile until most of the security was fixed.
People like you need to buck up and stop fighting a lossing battle. Microsoft is not going to say "We are sorry for vista, we will make more XP copys and we will run that for another 5 years."

As for the skin, no point in bashing it unless you have not tried it. I remeber using the Vista skin on XP before its release, and im sure no one said "OmG, mY computer is sLoW".
The thing that would most alleviate Vista-bashing would be Vista not being shite.

Hey, here's one for journalists to pursue - Microsoft keeps pushing the number "140 million Vista licenses sold!" Of course, the question is how many of those are actually running. Microsoft *knows* this number from Windows Update. Can you get it out of them?
is a skin for the Ipod considered worth a news story?

Why not post some analysis of the new (apparently) fully double precision capable Cell CPU? Or why Via can make ~5W CPUs that can run XP nicely? Or, if you must sling mud, what markey forces caused Intel to take this long to some up with the atom? Or pick a subject other than empty trite eye-candy?
Yep, this new skin works wonders. You have to buy new headphones as your old one won't work with the new skin, but every 10 days you have to activate and verify the headphones are genuine, this is done via a premium rate number using your amazing new web browser, IE!

Just some of the advantage of unique apple hardware, and the one, the almighty, Microsoft Geniune Advantage!!!
Why do I even still read this steaming pile of a site?
The anti-Vista negativity this whole site repeatedly shows has made it unpleasant to continue reading here. Your uneducated and completely trendy attitudes ruins any attempt at finding useful information here. I'm done with this site.
