Money

I think Obama doesn't want to take the people's money because he's already been bought by someone else.

Typical politician.

Funny how the more things change..

..the more they stay the same...

Somehow Obama is just now realizing the power of internet fundraising after not just 3 months ago re-iterating his pledge to do go the public financing route? Did he not see this just 3 months ago?!?!?

A new kind of politics? Or politics as usual. When Obama was pro public financing, it somehow fit his motives at the time about the 'evilness' of campaign funding and how he would be a new kind of poilitician and go the publiuc financing route (he pledged this MULTIPLE times).

Now that he is raking in the dough, apparently the system is no longer "broken" (as it favors him) and he has no issue disowning his earlier beliefs. Isn't democracy wonderful... I've never in my adult life been so proud of my country.

The internet hasn't changed the campaign... it's just a different way/medium for the money to flow. Unfortunately money has and will continue to be the single biggest factor in determining 'democracy'.

Do you think the move was justified?
