Wake up please

When will european politicians and the public get the 'by the people, for the people' concept? What century/millennium?

If the people in britain don't want the blasted national ID card then DROP THE STUPID PLAN ALREADY, because in a democracy the politicians are working for the people, and the people aren't slaves to politicians, get it already?

A feudal system with people being vassals is medieval and is not a democracy, and it's damn sad that not only the politicians don't get the basic concepts but many normal people actually consider themselves property of those idiots and didn't crawl into the 19th century yet, let alone the 20th or 21th.
