SOLOMON, you twit, did it ever occur to you that perhaps because everyone was donating to the earthquake victims that they'd have to put off purchases to fifty inch LCD televisions?!

And there are two stores, one opened near Zhong Shan Park recently.

And you missed an even better store called Suning.

In my opinion, the best buy stores are the only large electronics store that offers real live phones to play with, unlike the stupid model phones with sticker images of lcd menus. but one annoying thing is that you are hounded as soon as you enter the door of best buy shanghai and have that sparkle in your eye like you want to buy something.
I live in Shanghai, and I think the Best Buy business model in Shanghai is a major failure, with only one major shop in Shanghai, their product price are uncompetitive compare to other local players such as Gome and Yolo.
The only shop they have in Shanghai weren't even hit by the Sihuan earthquake, and it is a joke to see them put this on the finaical report.

The chinese just do not buy their home products from Best Buy, they rather go to a negotiable market, the end of story.

They simply having a hard time adjusting themself with local laws and local consumer habbits, without solving these problem, adding another 4-6 shops is just pouring money into the ocean.
