This card is not a high end product, the Ultra and GTX will still be the top products intill mid 2008 when nvidia releases their new product.

Looking for upper bound

Did it cross anyone's mind that perhaps nv is looking for the absolute maximum clock they can eke out of the thing. No need for fancy theories on heatsink and fan combos not being up to spec.

Surely high-end?

Funny that I've heard this next "high-end" chip G92 that's coming late October is a mainstream GPU...
