first of all canada no one cares if you can't find a way around (aka proxy) second the CRIA couldnt get demonoid to shut down so they threatened the hosts who then droped them untill they blocked canadian IP's
hehe, dumb canadians....you're too stupid!!!! ever heard of a proxy.......dumbass.......besides get a job and pay for the dam files or movies you dam cheapskates..........
Canadian or anyone else that got affect by that ban can use a proxy to bypass it. You can simply use http://www.demonoidproxy.com to access demonoid. If you have any problem, there a forum where you can post and get help.
I believe that we Canadians should simply follow suit. A law suit - that is. Demoniod needs to be held liable for disallowing our membership rights without just cause or provocation, and no advanced warning.

If any Canadian member volunteered even one thin dime to Demionoid over the years, it proves a 'good faith', contribution, inferring continued service and reciprocal support for ones membership.

As Demoniod has unjustifiable balked on its Canadian clients (file sharing not illegal in Canada)... They are now liable for the illegal disconnect of service to [Canadians], and of breaking a good faith promise to its [Canadian] contributors (EVEN IF SAID FUNDS EQUAL A PENNY). If memory serves me, I believe that discriminating memberships and breaking (the law) financial agreements are proper grounds for suit.

So a question, my fellow Canadians... Who will create the website that takes names and data to start this class action going? What's taking so long?

Frankly, one subpoena - this fiasco is done! Clearly we see how easily Demonoid caves to pressure.
(Plus, whomever initiates things just might make a little coin in the process- not that it is the intention of the suit, of course).

Post here if your proactive.

Thanks
Demonoid should get themselves some new legal advice. File sharing is LEGAL in Canada and the CRIA has no legitimate grounds upon which to make threats. It's also worth noting that the CRIA is a toothless sham, representing mostly international recording industry heavyweights, since the bulk of Canadian recording artists and labels have disavowed any association with these shils for the RIAA's misguided attempts to instill the DMCA in Canada. Demonoid should be ashamed for reacting in such a knee-jerked panic.

From article: "The site is already a refugee from Sweden"

It is a refugee but from The Netherlands. At the moment, Sweden is 'safe'
