Theres a trend going on here. Ps3 does a big hard drive ... then microsoft does.. ps3 does hidef.. then ms does.. ps3 announces divx.. then ms does.. What else are they gonna copy.. hdmi !.. o wait... they did that 2
Maybe we should add an 8-track and betamax slot while we're at it.

Seriously divx sucks, as long as it supports h.264/x.264 its good to go... not that i'd use a ps3/360 for watching videos on anyway.
Yeah Pudge, going to have to disagree as well. You have your facts in "fanboi" mode it seems. Only thing the PS3 was first on was HDMI. The rest Microsoft was first on, by a year even.
While truly opensouce videocodec Theora is approaching its 1.0 release and hardware decoder also being implemented, it is about time having it on all gadgets for video decoding :)

"all Playstation 2 titles that support rumble and are compatible with the Playstation 3"

Well that makes about 2, doesn't it ?
Pudge, if you can honestly tell us how Sony did high definition first with the PS3, I will give you a cookie.

Now all they need to do is give divx support to the psp, then people actually might bother watching videos on them.
