When I was a lad...

By the time my 2 year old nephew leaves school he'll look at a electric light bulb in a museum and ask what is it.

We all know the light bulb is going the way of the waxed cylinder and probably the CD.

Should mean some interesting times are ahead for lighting designers.

I recently tried putting in high kelvin CF lamps into my living room. Boy could I see the window from miles away as the more natural white light looked right out of place in the row of houses at night!

Plus it really brings out the dodgy paint jobs, dirt and dust in the carpet and walls.

So I expect that DIY stores can expect a huge increase of business when these bulbs are more common. ;-)

My wife advised me to switch the bulbs back or there would be trouble.

Who was I to argue? :-)
