What about the ones with no door?

It looks like some EEEs are showing up without a door to allow access to the memory slot. Do you suppose ASUS will allow those to be upgraded without voiding the warranty?

Memory of a goldfish?

Nay, my unmodded Eee can remember more than that. It happily runs Firefox with half a dozen tabs open at once, with enough RAM left over for KNode and a couple of terminal sessions. Or a quick game of Crack Attack.

Though I do need to restart Firefox about once a day, otherwise it bogs everything down.

Asus' losely compatible chips/

Asus would be better if controllers all worked well, didn't gob up, lose drivers and simply be invisible. Everything except best as advertised. often simply WILD CLAIMS are asus advertiseing route.
