Apple Flavored Virtualisation

Jon G,

The novel components of Parallels' latest offering is
A) the first server class virtualization solution for OS X
B) the first solution allowing you to virtualize OS X (Server)

Rich,

Then you will be very excited to know that Parallels Server will also run on the Vole, Linux, and Bare Metal offerings. OS X only on Fruit flavored hardware though for now :)

Running OSX on VM running on a Windows machine

Virtualization

Gawd, it makes me cringe just thinking about it. Bloated OS running on bloated OS, ad nauseum.

Wouldn't a properly implemented OS provide the same benefits efficiently?

What about VirtualBox?

Did I missing something about the article? Sun's new acquisition, VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org), already runs on Intel MacOS X, and will happily run Windows instances.
