Gamers hail the return of Duke Nukem

The king explodes into stores

DUKE NUKEM FOREVER has finally reached shelves across the UK after an agonising 15 year wait, much to the delight of the gaming world.

We can't quite believe the wait is over for the return of Duke Nukem. We're fairly sure we're about to wake up and realise it was all a dream and the game doesn't really exist.

But it's no fantasy and Duke Nukem Forever, the most anticipated game to be released for many years, is finally out in shops and available online. The game went gold on 25 May to gamers' delight after suffering from various setbacks during its long and checkered development.

2K Games and Gearbox Software heroically took over the development of Duke Nukem Forever after 3D Realms gave up on the project. We're eternally grateful to them for finishing the game and are looking forward to getting back into some classic Duke action.

The INQUIRER'S very own Lawrence Latif pre-ordered the collector's edition 'Balls of Steel' box set, which is winging its way to him now. He plans to keep the box set unopened as an investment and will download the game from the gaming network Steam in order to play it. µ
