AN XBOX 360 SLIM ARCADE has been spied heading for German shores in August.
The Vole is on a console roll. A month after speculation at E3, Microsoft's Xbox 360 Slim is out today in the UK. The Vole put its flagship console on a diet and gave it a 250GB hard drive. Now rumours suggest it's going to release a stripped down "arcade" version of its fat boy gone slim.
Pop along to Amazon's German store and in its shop window is a Xbox 360 4GB Arcade System Bundle. There's no accompanying product shot so your imagination will have to fill that in but it is listed with a release date of 20 August 2010. It's also priced at €148.99.
The current arcade version does have a 256MB memory card for punters but it doesn't have any internal storage. It looks like the 4GB refers to a minimal amount of storage space.
Microsoft has never so much as pointed in the general direction of an arcade slim so it looks like Amazon's German site has made a big mistake. The Vole's snipers will be taking care of that one. µ
