MOBILE NETWORK Orange has revealed the details of its train journey ruining gaming service.

numb-thumbs-headerFirst up, player 1 if you prefer, is Playtomo, which offers free games and links to social networking sites such as Facebook over a mobile device. Orange said that this would let crowing winners share their game details and scores on their Facebook page, and thus, at least to us, has no real purpose.

Player 2 is Games Zone, a subscription service that gives users two free games a month along with a range of discounts and competitions. This costs £5 per month and is available on a one month free trial.

Player 3, or if you prefer the single player option, is Orange Iphone games, which predictably pitches time-wasting thumb fun at Iphone users.

Neil Holroyd, head of gaming products and services at Orange, said, "Innovative gaming services such as Playtomo and Games Zone give customers the best possible gaming experience and value for money on their mobile phone, while enabling us to develop our offering and maintain our lead as the number one gaming operator in the UK."

As for the type of innovative gaming action you might get to enjoy, Orange keeps mentioning card games, which the last time we checked are pretty ubiquitous on phones anyway. µ
