Logitech unveils V550 Nano

Clip-and-go

LOGITECH HAS unveiled its sleek V550 Nano cordless laser mouse.

The new input device is packaged with an unobtrusive dock that allows users to conveniently clip the mouse to any laptop.

The V550 includes a blazingly fast 2.4 GHz nano-receiver that is 300 times quicker than the conventional 27 MHz wireless technology typically utilised by cordless mice.

In addition, the energy conscious mouse offers up to 18 months of battery life and conserves power by shutting down when docked.

The V550, compatible with both PC and Mac platforms, is expected to retail at $60. µ

Excuse me?

2.4Ghz "300 times quicker" than 27Mhz, when referencing the transmission frequency of a wireless device?

Somebody needs to do some more research on the RF spectrum and wireless transmission before making stuff up.

PS: Looked up a pic of this mouse. I'm a big fan of logitech peripherals (currently using the VX nano myself as my notebook mouse) but I have to say that V550 is one ug-lee-ass piece of hardware.
