IT'S OFFICIAL, aliens exist according to one of the few people to have walked on the moon.
Dr Edgar Mitchell has confirmed their existence in a recent Kerrang! radio interview.
Mitchell, along with the 1971 Apollo 14 commander Alan Shepard, hold the record for the longest ever moon walk - clocking in at nine hours and 17 minutes.
He told radio host Nick Margerrison: "I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we've been visited on this planet and the UFO phenomena is real."
"This is really starting to open up. I think we're headed for real disclosure and some serious organisations are moving in that direction," he continued.
Supposedly the ETs were similar to the traditional image of an alien with a small frame, large head and eyes.
He also claimed our technology is "not nearly as sophisticated" as theirs and. "had they been hostile, we would be been gone by now."
Margerrison later said: "I thought I'd stumbled on some sort of astronaut humour but he was absolutely serious that aliens are definitely out there and there's no debating it."
It is not the first time Mitchell has discussed the possibility of alien life, previously raising the possibility of alien technology in the hands of humans, over ten years ago.
NASA has denied claims of a cover-up, stating: "Dr Mitchell is a great American, but we do not share his opinions on this issue."
We suspect the men-in-black will visit, prior to him retracting his statements. µ

It's not impossible.Let's reverse the situation... say there's a primitive life in planet (put geeky name here) in nearby galaxy and we have the technology to go there. Would we not go there in discrete, not knowing whether the reception would be hostile or not?

Edgar Mitchell has been on record for quite some time saying that he's witnessed UFO's and believes them to be alien space craft. He's also not the only person to have gone into space to say so and certainly not the only former government employee to say so. Gordon Cooper, the last american atleast to go into space alone as part of the Mercury project, also has gone on record with such statements as well as former russian cosmonaughts. Hell if i remember correctly Cooper even has said that while serving at a military base in California he watched one land, hang out for a few minutes and then take off again.Given there have been literally millions of reports over the last few hundred years all over the world, many of which made by credible witnesses including military and police, plus physical trace evidence and radar reports I'd say it's foolish to say there isn't something going on and most of the population of the major world nations agree. The only question is what is it and why are the governments refusing to admit it's happening. Seriously every major study by every group ever to do one, either government or civilian, has produced atleast 6% unidentifiable despite sufficied information to reach a conclusion meaning it's not something we know about, it's not a hoax and it's not crazy people so even if it's not alien space craft I'd say hundreds to thousands of unexplained events annually in the skies of our planet is worthy of study.
Put simply regardless of what your belief in alien life is or if you think it's been visiting us there is something going on that we don't know about and should be studying. It could lead to proof of alien life, not that we really need it at this point cause even the vatican has come out saying it should exist, or it could simply give us a greater understanding of our planet or unknown space phenomena that is effecting our planet. No matter how you look at it if you do so intelligently you have to be curious.
