Google open sources Browser Sync
Coming to a web browser near you
SOFTWARE ENGINEERS at Google have released its Browser Sync client to open source under the free-for-all BSD licence. It's apparently complete and stable now, so they're also discontinuing active support for it.
According to the Browser Sync project webpage:
"Browser Sync is a Firefox extension that continuously synchronizes your browser settings – including bookmarks, history, persistent cookies, and saved passwords – across your computers. It also allows you to restore open tabs and windows across different machines and browser sessions."
That sounds useful for everyone who uses multiple computers. Hopefully this will get picked up by the Mozilla developers and incorporated into Firefox 3.1. µ

Nothing new
Maxthon (shell for IE) has it already, and it will sync other stuff as well. One thing it won't sync is cookies though, at least I don't know of itcan't be serious

This feature is already built into the latest Opera browser, http://www.opera.com
