Dotmac rumours good for business
UNSUBSTANTIATED RUMOURS from spookily-reliable Apple watchers The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) point towards a major upgrade to the Cupertino company's Web-based .Mac service.
Expected to arrive alongside the new Iphone at Apple's WWDC in June, the revamped £50-a-year service will offer (in addition to the current storage, back-up, email and synching tools) push e-mail and over-the-air synching of calendars, contacts and bookmarks.
According to 'a little birdy' who fluttered into the TUAW offices, Windows users needn't feel left out as they'll soon be able to join the party too.
This is all good news for Iphone users who have been struggling to use Microsoft Exchange Servers to stay in touch with work-related shenanigans, and could push the beautiful to behold but not very business friendly handset into the commercial mainstream.
Saint Steve of Cupertino dropped a bit of a hint in May last year when he was accused of dropping the ball a bit on .Mac development. He replied, "I couldn’t agree more, and we’ll make up for lost time in the near future." µ

I think you are onto something here.I pay for the .mac service and received a survey yesterday about the service.
This survey could be about getting "before" opinions, prior to launch of a new service.
Then after launch, they can get the "after."
Then OSX Server can give exchange a run for its money in the long run!
