Nvidia throws another party

Mailwatch Forgot to invite us again

NVIDIA IS THROWING another party and flying everyone out, but we have somehow fallen off the invite list. Unfortunately, this means that you are going to get the info several weeks sooner than if we had gone.

If these go anything like the phone briefings, there will be several fewer graphics editors in the world on May 15th, biting your tongue off is the honorable way out after the third slide deck. In any case, we will bring you the info as soon as it happens.

Here's the missive we didn't receive:

--------------------------------------------------

You are cordially invited to attend the NVIDIA Editor's Day May 2008 event, which will be held at the NVIDIA Santa Clara campus from May 13th to May 14th, 2008.

We will be holding in-depth technical discussions on our new consumer GPUs and other NVIDIA technologies that will help shape the future of visual computing.

In addition, we're bringing in a veritable who's who of content developers to showcase a variety of upcoming 3D-optimized applications, including games, digital media apps, and more. You'll also have access to our engineers and architecture gurus who can answer all of your toughest questions.

Our official start time is 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13th at the NVIDIA Santa Clara campus, so if you are traveling from overseas, it is recommended you arrive in town no later than 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12th so you will be fresh and awake! We will have a full day of presentations and demos, and roundtable discussions on Wednesday, May 14th.

Due to the high technical discussion expected, experience and background in GPU architecture is required for this event. If you would prefer a less technical environment, please let us know and we can make alternate arrangements for you and your publication.

To RSVP for this event, simply click on the "RSVP" link at the end of this invitation. Confirmation details, as well as instructions on how to arrange for your air travel, will be sent automatically.

Thanks in advance! If you have any questions about the NVIDIA Editor's Day May 2008 event, please e-mail your local NVIDIA PR representative.

Cheers!

Paybacks

Yeah, that's the price you guys pay for having integrity as journalists: you’re low on the list to get wined, dined, and otherwise bribed.

On the plus side, we respect what you say. Good choice.

Integrity?

It is all fine and well when you are invited to every IDF, but it is all tears and cries of "selling off" when comes to not being invited to an event. You are just making me remember Sander Sassen.

yeah riiiiight

what do you expect a company where you never show any real respect.

go back and look how you downplay (or even censor) every products (be it nvidia or intel) just to favor ati.

isn't it ironic? naah, it's just reality you guys pay for being fanbois. sorry but no candy for you!

Who can blame them?

What on earth would be the point in inviting you thick sods anyway? Maybe once you've had some elementary English language lessons and can write coherent articles they'll waste some sandwiches and tea on you.

Nvidia party

Nvidia parties aren't exactly known to be raunchy, technologically enlightening, life changing experiences.

More likely to be drones to the nvidia queen bee, swarming to be brainwashed into the green way of thinking, overseen by JSH with amegaphone chanting subliminal FUD messages from a silicon minaret tower.

Well, at least if you did get an invite you could use the brochure to wipe the vomit from around your mouth after the hours of being force fed utter crap.

Think yourself lucky you didn't get an invite, its a compliment, your obviously not suitable material to be assimilated.
