Racist Le Pen flogs bullet-proof Peugeot on Ebay

Finally we can get a good shot at him

RACISM DOESN’T PAY. Or at least not well enough for the greedy French far right leader, Jean Marie Le Penn, who is auctioning off his bullet-proof Peugeot on Ebay to raise a bit of spare cash.

In 2002, the French had a narrow escape from making the 79 year-old bigot their president. Since then, his National Front party, which believes that all foreigners should be kicked out of France, has racked up several million euros in debt after embarrassing defeats and a thankfully weak showing in last year's presidential and legislative elections, which caused the party to lose state subsidies.

The xenophobic Le Pen has also been made to cough up 10,000 euros in fines when a French court charged him in February of "contesting crimes against humanity". Le Pen was charged when he decided to spurt off about how the Nazi occupation of France was "not particularly inhumane", and that “gas chambers were a detail of the history of World War II”.

A spokesman from Le Pen’s National Front wasn’t even ashamed of admitting that the reason the French Fascist was flogging his car was, "Money, money, glorious money."

The Ebay announcement says "Following its replacement, we are putting up for sale Jean-Marie Le Pen's armored Peugeot 605, used daily by him, including during his last presidential campaign". It adds that the car is "to be considered as a collector's item, no jokers."

There are only nine more days before the auction closes, and so far, it seems that Le Pen’s far right cronies must be as strapped for cash as he is, with the current bid hovering around 3510 Euros. µ

You must be kidding

Looks like you don't know much in French politics, apart from the pc shite the AFP is spreading around. Le Pen might be an antisemitic dick, such a cheap rant like yours lead people to vote for him en masse in 2002, and is also part of the reason why Sarkozy got elected in the first place.

na

I think it would be great if a French asylum seeker was to buy the car. Perhaps someone should set up a fund and get the picture taken with Le Pen?

Not reading my thought is racism.

Since the word racist is thrown at anybody that doesn't fall in line with certain mainstream groups it's pretty pointless to use except to show you are part of that group, but it doesn't tell you anything about the person/group the term is applied to, could be a real racist (as defined by dictionaries) or it could be a nationalist or a anti-islam entity, or any number of other things.

Just so you know people aren't falling for such stuff anymore with the ease they used to.

Errr...

"gas chambers were a detail of the history of World War II"

Still slightly more memorable than France's attempts at defence.

I've always wanted Bullet-proof

I don't go for the whole racism thing. But I've always wanted a bullet-proof vehicle.

The only problem I have, is I know I'll get bored one day and want to test it. Then I'll have to find a new wife as the current one will probably dump my ass for unloading a magazine on the car as she comes in the driveway.

Don't even tempt me with an explosion proof vehicle either.

Not ALL foreigners...

Actually, I'm pretty sure he just wants to kick out the growing militant islamist population, not all the foreigners. Would be better off...

about that auction

it seems that the guy selling the car has cancelled the auction and then started another one:

the new one is at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=120255692641
(or ebay.fr... it has an english interface on .com and a french one on .fr, but it is the same item and same seller as the first time)

Wake up Inquirer!

What has this to do with IT?

Smear campaign

The author of this article could be attacked in justice for using such words. I don't like Le Pen ideas, but calling him a facist, a racist and a xenophobe could put the author in serious trouble. The best thing to do would be to rewrite this article before it gets too much attention.

More IT, less PC

If I wanted to hear PC Left-wing rants I'd visit the BBC's web site.

Global gullibility

I HAD to click this article to see who has ZERO concept of journalistic protocol...Sylvie Barak...An obvious Muslim apologist/sympathizer based on name, or at the very least, ironic coincidence.

Here in the US, all minority groups and organizations are thoroughly schooled on civil rights law manipulation, and educated fools in the media only help their cause by injecting words like "racist", "xenophobe" or "nationalist" (Which is ONLY a negative word to the UN and EU. Nations that will NOT be amalgamated for false notions of social utopias and the like still consider it a positive word when practiced with conscience.).

France is staring down the barrel of an all too familiar gun; Poverty and extremism are mixing within Her borders.
Revolution has been a staple in France for hundreds of years, but look into your past; has it been the people, or religious ideals that rose up? Violent Muslims have held you before! Spain's fear of religious nuts makes you all the more vulnerable.

WAKE UP WORLD A very serious and meaningful discussion must be had about violent religions. MANUFACTURED racism/xenophobia does not carry us towards truthful communication.

One more thing before I go and become labeled as the above mentioned...
What is the price of fuel in France these days?
The fateful deal France signed with the Arab League in 1976 guaranteed the Immigration/Assimilation problem you are in today. Has that cheap oil guarantee held up?

Realists are NOT Racists! Logical thought process is STILL taught in some places.

Ranting "Nationacistophobe",

Wow...

A hunch still goes a long way; a quick browse of Sylvie's other writings shows that you are CLEARLY an apologist or an outright propagandist!
And to head you off at the pass: Barack Obama's problem in this campaign is about his (also extremist) Christian pastor...not because of his past ties to Islam.

Though in all fairness the sound/video bites of idiots like Rumsfeld, Kennedy and the like quoted as saying "Osama...err...OBama" really doesn't help! ;D

Chris:

You're pretty sure that Le Pen doesn't want to kick out all the foreigners - instead he just wants to kick out the 'growing militant islamist population'?

Now - I think I see where you're going with this - but I think it's the wrong way!

1 - Be clear about this: Le Pen is a biiiiiiig racist. He, like many other holocaust deniers and racists, sees Islam as a threat and an opportunity to crank up the ol' race hate.

2 - I don't think there's a 'population' of militant Jihadists in France. There are probably 'some' or 'a few', but I the word population overstates how much of a threat they are.

Geesh...

This is a poorly written and inflammatory article. Rather than describing Le Pen and his views, the author resorts to the lazy art of name calling. The opposite of nationalist is globalist, and it is the globalists bent on forming a unified world order that are wrong.

I guess the street riots of the last few years by Arab immigrants is not a bad thing after all. Le Pen was wrong.

Richard, t'as tort

@Richard

How do you explain smahi?

http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1597223,00.html

Why Durbec? Why Fatna? Why did he pose with this black chick on a picture for his presidential campaign, if he wanted to capitalize on racism?
Believe me, other politicians in France are breeding racism with their follish immigration policies more than any Le Pen could.

And I should add...

I also find sad that the The Inq is turning into something like The Reg, not long after the boss left. Let's stick to IT, please.
