Job centres advertise Internet porn jobs

Jobs oot fer the lads

JOB CENTRES across Blighty feel it is their moral duty to advertise jobs for people who take their clothes off in front of webcams.

According to the Beeb, a student Anna Ellis-Jones was "amazed" and " disgusted" to find adverts for nude webcam operators at her Jobcentre Plus office in Llangefni, Anglesey. It appears she was also again shocked when she also saw the adverts at Bangor in Gwynedd.

She said that government agencies should not be doing that sort of thing. Government departments should never be doing things related to naughtiness and in her day, well actually it is her day, but they still shouldn't be doing it.

The Department of Work and Pensions told the Beeb that it had a moral obligation to allow all legal jobs to be advertised. Apparently, in 2003 there was a legal ruling which meant it had to do it and there was no getting out of it.

These sorts of jobs are only 0.016 per cent of all vacancies and the whole thing is a storm in a teacup. After all it is not as if Jobcentres are demanding that people get their kit off or lose their benefits.

The job did not really seem to be worth the agro. You only got minimum wages for a four hour shift and you didn't even get a free uniform. µ

Moral Obligation

If HM Govt has a Moral Obligation to advertise these jobs, then this brings into question the morality of this Government.

Prude!!

Oh come on. Shocked and disgusted my @rs@!!.

The adverts say the job is not open to those under 18. If people want to take their clothes off for money then let them. If people want to waste their money on paying others to take their clothes off then let them.

@JDL

"Apparently, in 2003 there was a legal ruling which meant it had to do it and there was no getting out of it."

The courts are not the government.

Where can I sign up??? Lol

I bet she secretly applied for it

But is it sexist....

In that, if its only open to women, I'm sure its discriminates agaist men, therefore, they can't advertise it.

A job is a job..

The question remains; what was she searching for? The JCP advertises for Escorts and models etc, all of which state you must be 18+ and include the mandatory statements for this. I think the 'student' got bored. It's a job, people do it and to be honest, there's better things to do with your time than make an ass of yourself by reporting useless stuff. All aspects of jobs are reviewed before placing, and as much as it's an adult position, it's still a job that people do.

really?

more likely she was turned down for the position?

@Dave C,

To Nobby Nobbs

Correct, but courts do set the legal precedent. This means that effectively that decision has become law.

To me, the question is: Just because jobs can be on a continuum of taste, does that mean that no-one should ever draw a line in the sand?

Close Your Eyes

Many prudes find it easier to just close their eyes and this nastiness disappears. Try it with me, close thse eyes and presto - no bouncing ummm...you know....

Usually the people complaining the loudest are the ones who subscribe to this. Betcha missy has a dungeon downstairs??

I wonder...

Are they equal opportunity employers?

Not sexist

It won't be sexist because guys do this too. Look it up. Mmmmm. What's the problem?

SO free is OK and paid is wrong?

Whats all the fuss about - most girls get their scoobs out for free on webcam.

Truly disgusting

How sickening that a government would advertise legal jobs of all sorts to any who might be interested in them. Why, last time I stepped foot in a job-placement organization they had job listings for legal assistants! Who would ever willingly be paid to associate with such despicable people as lawyers?

This woman needs to get over herself. If she doesn't want to do that sort of work, perhaps she should consider continuing to browse through their listings for a type of work she WOULD prefer.

Funny how some blokes get anrgy when women complain bout this kinda thing

I'd complain too, if there weren't also jobs listed for the technical side - running the servers, admin on the networks.

Which I'll bet there weren't; cause there's never any job worth doing advertised at the govt. job centers.

Maybe she was p*ssed off at the indignity at the kind of machines/processes you have to use to do any job search at those places, and the lack of any worthwhile jobs, and that one showing up was just the last straw.

What about those 'text girls / guys in your area' adverts? How can they afford to get TV adverts? How did they stock up on databanks of anyone in your area, before they'd begun advertising?

Thanks for the info

Great - I've been wondering how best to get new performers for my own adult webcam business. Until now I was a bit shy to ask Job Centres to advertise the vacancies - not any more though. Thanks for the tip. Oh, and we're not sexist at all on our site - all women welcome to apply!
