BMC Software buys Bladelogic

BMC SOFTWARE said it will pay $800 million to buy data centre automation company Bladelogic
BMC boss Bob Beauchamp, reckons $140 billion will be spent running data centers this year. “Automation is the only way IT can bring this spending under control," he said.
Gobbled-up Dev Ittycheria, Bladelogic’s president and chief executive officer said his firm's "next-generation architecture will be a natural extension of BMC’s BSM platform.” µ
