Duke claims world's largest 802.11n network
Ohio State loses WLAN crown
DUKE University in the US is claiming to have snatched the crown for the title of world's largest 802.11n network.
Ohio State University held the crown for Earth's biggest WLAN with 1,700 access points.
However Cisco said that it is installing a 2,500 access point Aironet 1250 Series network at Duke, which will soon go live.
The network will cover six million square feet of central North Carolina blanketed in WiFi.
Cisco is claiming that it will be the largest planned 802.11n wireless network in the world by any organisation, which is nice. µ

Ok, so 3 x 3 feet = 9 sq ft.2000 x 3000 ft yields 6 million sq ft right?
so with 2000 access points....well, you see my point I hope. If not, 1 access point every few feet apart...
