Diamonds are a geek's best friend
JAPANESE computer designer Zeus has released a range of PCS which are designed for those with more money than sense.
According to the Times, the casing for the 'Jupiter' range is cast from solid platinum encrusted with diamonds arranged to resemble your star sign. Ironic really, the metal attributed to Jupiter is actually tin.
Underneath the bonnet is a 3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with a 256MB GeForce 7200GS graphics card, a 1 terabyte SATA drive, 2GB of RAM, and a choice of Blu-ray or HD-DVD optical drives.
After paying the Microsoft tax for Vista Ultimate, the PC will set you back £375,000.
In the same range is a cheaper Mars casing, which is made of Gold rather than platinum and that is only £280,000. Again we have to wonder who these guys consulted on their metals. Mars was attributed to Iron it was the Sun which was believed to be gold.
As the Times pointed out, you can buy a shedload of really top spec kit for that amount of dosh.

and without Vista I suppose it only costs 2,000?Without Vista Ultimate its extra hundred grand.

You'd think for 375k they'd at least put something better than a 7200gs in it.
