Panasonic to release 150-inch plasma screen

For the person who has everything - except decent eyesight

TELLY maker Panasonic is set to release a 150-inch plasma screen next year.

According to the Japanese paper Yomiuri the release of the product means that Panasonic will be able to boast that it flogs the largest telly in the world.

Sharp sells a 108-inch telly which is bigger than a queen sized bed. This is only a prototype and the largest commercial set is thought to be Panasonic's own 103-inch screen.

The 108-inch screen is big enough to show Darth Vader from the top of his shiny bonce to the bottom of his black shoes. It will be shown off at the Consumer Electronics Show next month and commercially released in 2009.

So far no one has worked out how much to charge for the new screen. The 103-inch model will set you back £26,618.

I'll Wait

The Jones already have one, so I'll wait until the 175 inch models are out.
