Foxconn over eager with 8800 GT
Website snafu leads to hot pics
MAKER OF GRAPHICS boards and assorted other technomological components, Foxconn, has jumped the snark/gun/ringfence on the GeForce 8800 GT launch.
In what appears to be a website booboo - although these things always are, until they aren't - pictures and specs for Foxconn's first card based on the new chipset have appeared on its Taiwanese website.
Pics can be viewed here .
The card comes in at 600MHz core and 1800MHz memory, with 512MB of the stuff. Unfortunately, the timing isn't the only thing Foxconn has gotten wrong - the spec page lists the card as sporting the G96 chipset which, we're pretty sure, it doesn't.
Look out for the real release of 8800 GT in the next few days, along with the slew of hardware fanboy benchmarks. µ

Uh...
Foxconn has some serious issues in its marketing department. I bet it took some fruitcake five minutes --including render time-- to ejaculate the artwork on that card's front panel.Glass houses
Isn't this about the LAST website that should be pointing out the sloppiness and f-ups of others? How exactly does one jump a SNARK, anyway?
[Hi Eric. You're on your final warning. Ed.]
Ugly
That is the worst looking graphics card I have ever seen.dough
It seems that those site is somewhat (aren't they all in some matter) of marketing goat for these smaller brands. I don't think that someone could pull up these story on it's web when there's nothing on the official manufacturer's site@ugly
In fact that's case with all foxconn 8800 series :-/
[Eh? Ed.]

It's not just the front that is 'artwork' I fear, the whole thing is obviously a 'concept' picture, which shows nothing even if it wasn't.is it just me...
is it just me or doesnt all the "supposedly leaked out" photos of the g92 look like underskilled photoshopped hoaxes?
