ELECTRONICS PEDDLING KINGPIN AMD is building on its PC TV kit with new releases, the TV Wonder 650 Combo USB and the TV Wonder 600 PCI/PCI Express.

The new products, which will be available shortly in Best Buy shops all over the states, allow for users to record all sorts of telly straight to their PCs in glorious high definition, as well as watching said telly.

The TV Wonder 650 Combo USB will ship for about $149 and comes packing two TV tuners for watching all sorts on your PC, including unencrypted Digital TV cable programming, analog TV and FM broadcasts. The TV Wonder 600 PCI Express will ship for a recommended price of 99 bucks, a bargain at under $100.

Catalyst Media Center[sic] software will also be included allowing users to view TV all over the gaff and record programs easily.

Dean Jahnke of Best Buy is more than keen to stock the products, reckoning somewhat obviously that demand is high for HDTV, and that the products will " provide customers with a broad range of priced-right solutions." Solutions, his word, not ours.

They will be available for Vista as well as Windows XP, so those of you interested who are Vista-skeptical may breathe a sigh of relief. Or carry on with your life, disinterested. µ
